  • D.F. Richard Announces the Joe Ford Trade Scholarship

At D.F. Richard Energy believes in the power of honoring legacies and supporting the future. That’s why we are thrilled to announce the Annual Joe Ford Trade Scholarship, created in memory of Joe Ford, a remarkable young technician and cherished team member.

Joe’s story is one of passion, curiosity, and hard work. From a young age, Joe had an inquisitive mind and loved working with his hands, often spending hours in his family’s garage tackling creative projects. This passion led him to a part-time position at D.F. Richard Energy, where his confidence grew as he realized his calling in the trades. By the age of 21, Joe had become a full-time technician, inspiring everyone around him with his dedication and enthusiasm. Tragically, Joe’s life was cut short in a motorcycle accident, but his spirit and love for his craft continue to inspire us.

To honor Joe’s memory, this scholarship supports high school seniors and trade school students who share his passion for building, industrial, or mechanical trades. We aim to encourage the next generation of skilled professionals and help them follow their dreams, just as Joe did.
