SEH Studios Art Gallery Celebrates First Anniversary with Stunning Renovations

Dover, N.H. – November 13, 2024 – SEH Studios Art Gallery is thrilled to celebrate one year in its new location at 456 Central Ave. in downtown Dover, NH. Owner-curator and artist Susan E. Hanna recently completed major upgrades and renovations, transforming the gallery into a bright and inviting art hub for the community.

When Hanna took over the Central Ave. location, the rear gallery walls were a deep burgundy, and the ceiling was painted gray. “It had a cave-like feel,” said Hanna. “The day after I took possession, I had the space primed and then painted a gorgeous, serene white.” She then added “a ton” of warm, bright lighting to enhance the space.
These substantial upgrades reflect Hanna’s commitment to staying in this Dover location for years to come and allow her to beautifully illuminate her original art as well as that of other local artists. Dark floors, green rugs, and the warm glow of directional lights all contribute to SEH Studios’ welcoming ambiance.

“I prefer to show artwork in light that collectors will have in their homes,” says Hanna. “This warm, bright light is perfect. The previous lighting limited the amount of wall art I could offer.”
The retail fine art gallery showcases the oil paintings of Susan E. Hanna and other contemporary artists. Since moving to this space from one of the mills in November 2023, Hanna has made significant improvements, including installing LED fixtures that offer directional lighting throughout the two rooms of the gallery space.
SEH Studios Art Gallery offers a wide range of artworks by established and emerging New England artists, including traditional oils, wood carvings, acrylics, abstracts, multi-media pieces, watercolors, prints, sterling silver jewelry, pottery, bronze vessels, and stained glass.
